Prologue: The story goes something like this. In the Spring of 2004, I was asked by David Edwards, the Editor of Cycle World Magazine if I would design & lead a Pashnit Motorcycle Tour for the editors of Cycle World Magazine. It was incredible fun and gave me a chance to meet all the editors that run the magazine. -Read the Full Story here- I had mentioned to David that I lead all the tours on a modded Suzuki Hayabusa & he asked for photography of the bike of which I had quite a bit.

Fast forward to 2006, I got a call from Mark Hoyer, Feature Editor of Cycle World, who relayed that they were doing a cover story on the Suzuki Hayabusa GSXR1300. Could I write up a piece on the bike I use to lead the Pashnit Tours in California? The cover story would be 16 pages in the Sportbike Annual that Cycle World publishes each year. I was asked if I would write about the sport-touring capability on the venerable Pashnit Hayabusa- namely what I had done to mine. What follows is the article published in the 2006 Sportbike Annual.
