How to fix a GoPro Camera to a BMW R1200RT
How to fix a GoPro Camera to a BMW R1200RT

I have had my GoPro Hero Motorsports camera for over a year now and am very happy with it. Iíve experimented with a number of mount options when out on my motorbike and thought it might be useful to share them with others. Iíve included some sample films later in this post so you can see the result from some of the mount options. Option 1: Rear mount Very stable and gives a good view of following rider / traffic. However they need to be in close proximity, about 6-8... Read more

How to stop thieves - Installing a ground anchor
How to stop thieves - Installing a ground anchor

I’ve just moved to a new home near Bristol, England and decided to install a built-in ground anchor. I chose the highly recommended Y-max 90. It’s big enough to take my 19mm heavy duty, uncroppable Almax Immobiliser IV chain hooked onto an anti-pinch pin. I’ve never drilled into or mixed concrete before so this was new territory. Still, as they say on Top Gear: “How hard can it be?” http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/thinking-020.gif

Helmet locks GL1800
4 Attachment(s) Helmet locks GL1800

Helmet locks are a pain in the butt on the GL1800. Particularly if you have a Nolan helmet with the quick release latch. I don't like releasing two latches for two helmets. More than two helmets is a pain also. So here's what I did so I only have to undo one lock - (this is the first one so I'm going to clean it up - use smaller crimps) but it cost less than 2 bucks and 10 minutes work. Went to lowes and bought plastic coated wire (2 feet) And a couple crimps ($1.50) ... Read more

How to install a Signal Dynamics lighting module
6 Attachment(s) How to install a Signal Dynamics lighting module

On my list of things to do: 1. Install a Signal Dynamics lighting module for the rear taillights. If not familiar, Signal Dynamics is a Florida based company that specializes in various types of modules. These can modulate the headlight (a headlight modulator, which I also have (yes, legal in all 50 states)) blink the brake lights in a certain way, or even combine your turn signals into running lights. I have used these before over the years, including the classic Back Off Module... Read more

Honda ST1100 Video Camera Mount - How to
Honda ST1100 Video Camera Mount - How to

(Posted by Halfwing) Here's the stuff I cobbled together for my camera mount. I ordered a DASH SHELF from SPORT TOURING ACCESSORIES in North Carolina. I wanted this to mount the camera and a radar detector. I've since added the switch for my grip warmers so I'm getting my use out of it. I ordered a TRIPOD MOUNT from B & H PHOTO to attach the camera to the camera mount. I've also purchased a few filters for my camera from them. They're a great place to ask questions and... Read more
