ok was driving by a semi and really liked how bright the rear LED tail lights were. so stopped by semi supply store in West Sacramento and bought a 60 LED stop,turn, running light for $34.00 for Light, gromet, and pigtail. drilled 3 holes with 2 1/2 holesaw, shaved some plastic ran three wires. Making a Hitch for a Motorcycle

One of the readers of my blog asked how I made the hitch for the Silverwing. So I fired him off a couple of photos and a drawing of my home made hitch. This one is made for the Silverwing but I thought it could be the basis for any hitch on any motorcycle. If you are inclined to make a hitch for your bike this may give you a starting point and shows how I made mine.

I have been thinking about adding a computer to my motorcycle for a while. There are a lot of obsticals to overcome. My bike is an EX500 there isn't much room for a computer or screen I need to keep the power consumption under 50 watts total so I don't kill the altenator It needs to have some protection from the elements, I don't want this breaking the first time it rains I need to keep the computer cool enough to run and make sure it has enough power to handle GPS,... Make your own heated gear, less than $100

For those of you that like to tinker, here's some info on making your own heated gear. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113134 I made my own for a couple of reasons. 1. I'm cheap and like to tinker. 2. I'm picky and needed something thinner than the current gear on the market so it would fit under my leathers and race gloves.
