Thanks for the bday wishes, Bill. Hope you are well! d
Thanks for the note, Note! Hope the wedding went smoothly and smiles everywhere... D & I had a great trip... just got home yesterday afternoon... man, did sleeping in my own bed feel great last night! Hope all is well with you and maybe we'll ride again some day soon!
If you are not in a hurry then I recommend an inland route north and cut west for Ft. William.
Ayrshire doesn't have the greatest of riding roads.
Try this - although Peebles to Dunfirmline is a drag (Edinburgh area) its rather fast and easy.
On the way back, ride Fort William to Oban (brilliant ride down the coast). Oh, and do ride the Lochleven road (loop) = best road in Scotland!
Am in Oregon doing a month touring at the moment.
I am coming your way from South of the Border making our way to Fort william. It is a whistle stop visit as the Motor cross championships are there.Which route in to Scotland would you suggest.
Coming into Scotland from Lake District area on the Sat and aiming for William on the Sunday
Planning this ride for the wk end coming.
Hope you dont mind me asking but have been following your pic tours for a while and if there is one man with the knowldge then its you. We not after too small goaty rds we want to ride at a comfortable pace.
