Mark,
I am contemplating trip to the Canadian Rockies from LA thru Utah, idaho, Montana Sept 15th - 30th. Just reviewed your 05 trip and it appears to be much the same. Great journal of the trip by the way. I have actually thought "why should I take a camera?" "I can just go back and look at Mark's photographs." I was wondering how you became aware of some of the unusual overnight places you stayed. Is there a guide book of such places or did you just find them as you went along?

Mark,

I appreciate the route that you have given me. Now I am in need of a possible other one. We are trailering down from North East IN and taking 75 the whole way. We are ending up in Robbinsville, NC. Google Maps has us going down the dragon to get to the hotel. do you know of any other possible route to get around this that wont take 2 more hours. Also, how difficutl would it be to go down the dragon with a Trail Blazer and a 12' trailer?
