I am a new member on this forum, and trying to plan a trip for next weekend. The follwoing is posted on the forum, and someone said you know the areas well, "

We are looking at going up 395 from Palmdale, going west on 9 mile Canyon which turns into Kennedy Meadows Rd. At Kennedy Meadows Store, the road goes both north and south. No point at going north becuase we are not camping. South turns into Sherman Pass Rd. Stay on Sherman Pass road which heads west, goes over Sherman Pass, to the Kern River, then head due south, to Kernville. This road is likely Kernvlle Rd, but is not marked on my map. On my map, it makes sense. but no one seems to see the same loop on their maps! Just want to do some of the Eastern Sierras before snow fall. We have two days to ride (leaving from the San Fernando Valley) , maybe you have some other suggestions? We've done Kernville and the western mountains a lot, looking for something new.
