Btw, a quickie Pashnit photo lesson.
These are virtually the same photograph (top & this one), but I've changed the emphasis to be opposite from each other. The top one in Post #20 places the tombstone against the sky, plus pulls it in close. Goal here is to make that object most prominent in the pic. I want the viewer to see the tombstone first (emotion), than look at the town (scene) equal 'the story'. I've got the the camera very low looking upwards (flip out screen on the Canon Pro1 helps with that), and the result is all the emphasis is on the tombstone, in turn blending the emotion, setting the scene and telling the story. This one below places the same tombstone moreso against the hillside (vs. sky) thereby de-emphasizing it. Below, the town, or buildings of the ghost town are balanced against the shape of the tombstone. And yes, both of these are two-shot panoramics (shot in portrait & glued together with the PhotoStitch program). http://www.pashnittours.com/photos/2...ieCemetary.jpg |
