Re: Motoport gear.

Ok time for a followup report bump after wearing this gear through four seasons. I still maintain that Motoport is a great choice for protective gear with some small heads up type warnings.

The fit is claimed to be custom built but in fact many of them are taken off the rack...a bit unfair price-wise as the impression is all of them are custom made to your dimensions. I have no problem paying premium for custom made gear but if it is off a rack it should be less expensive. I also recommend finding a way to try the different off the rack sizes on since a non custom fit is also a guess as to actual fit. If you are getting an actual custom fit, I recommend you let Wayne or crew measure you.

The rain liners are absolutely terrible to put on...feels much like prepping for a space walk. Gobs of extra zippers and velcro. This gear is not for a quick ride to the local store in the rain and God help you if you need to make an emergency bathroom stop. I'd recommend you find another way to keep dry and warm than the liner system.

It looks like I will be returning to my system of hot/dry and cold/wet wear being accomplished with two suits (a Winter one and a Summer one). Looking at the Olympia AST jacket for starters.
