I had a feeling this was pretty much the last stop with the Cycle World Crew. I also had a feeling this was one of those once in a life time moments - do you ever get those? Where it's likely, you may never get a chance to be in a situation like this.

It was pretty much a straight shot down Hwy 101 southward. While we had planned on staying in Boonville that night - it was back to Sausalito fo r the Cycle World crew. As we came out of the mountains the rain subsided, and the sun even came out. I wondered to myself if it'd been premature to call off the ride, but I would later learn the following day with much of the staff riding back to LA, they rode through rain all the way.

Good to be home to hold this little one. :love

Awesome story - Last year my buddies and I rode alot of the same road you guys did. Love that section between the coast and 101 - perfect road!!
As a matter of fact one of our group had bike troubles and we spent time with the same mechanic you guys dealt with

Loved the Beemers, and convinced myself not to buy a Chinese bike any time soon :lol

Considering the weather and type of roads, that was an epic fer sure. Hope we have better weather for the August tour up that way :nod

Rick's one of the many local Strommers in NorCal. He hosted a tech day a few weeks back that I'm sorry I had to miss. Met him on the VSRI forums. Great site for Strom-specific info. At the risk of posting in a BARfesque manner, I'm happy to be the 2d to welcome ya, Rick! hehehe....

Now to find the time to read this whole story and pore over the pics. Am putting it off to saaaaaavor it. :biggrin
