Watch out for the cows near the turn off for Oxbow Reservoir (mosquito ridge road side).

Also, with regards to cornering....in spirited and/or track situations most of the weight isn't on the seat...but on the footpegs (like you said...lowers center of gravity). I prefer putting full...

Like I said....I got off with a warning. You mean have I learned to ride my 130 hp mc slow???? NO. I mostly ride fast at the TRACK. But, sometimes the road calls out to me...smooth pavement, perfect...

One suggestion.

Take 80 up to hwy 49.....take 49 north through Grass Valley, Downieville, Sierra City....take a left on Gold Lakes Road near Sierra City.....this dumps you out on 70...turn left...

Weird re-living that nightmare. Only thing left are memories and what I call the "the bloody sleeve." One sleeve of my leathers hasn't been touched...still coated in BEAR BLOOD. :rad

Wow. I hit a BEAR doing 80mph in Tahoe same day Brad crashed. I've been back at it for awhile (4 track days +3000 miles since accident). I guess I got off easy. Good luck with your continued...

I would say the answer (depending on the corner) is going deeper into the corner. Also, commonly when people hang off the bike, they are "holding on" to the bars therefore causing the bike to feel...

South on hwy 49 through the mother lode is nice. Many many nice little towns with several good places to stop, eat, rest, look around...whatever. Try to make it all the way to Angels Camp. Anything...
