Did you eat at El Tapatio at the intersection of Hot Springs Road (M56) and Old Stage Road? It's a good place to eat and get a cool drink. :2thumbsup

Seems to me (looking at Skibold's thread here (http://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33594)) that either one should be cautious as the road could close at any time or that the forest service...

Haven't ridden it recently but they did a horrible job of chip-sealing it one year so I hope the construction you saw fixed that problem. One can hope.

No (reputable) motel/hotel is going to be 'cool' with you pulling your bike into the room. However many places allow you to park your bike outside the room (these are the types of places we like)....

:hello I commented in the Beasore Road thread resurrection - but as for places to stay - we generally use the Lazy J Ranch in Three Rivers - park outside your room, good mexican food or pizza down...

Beasore is a great little road unless it is too early in the year - as jo points out. Should be fine during our summer. I rode it last fall (October) in addition to the other roads you mentioned with...
