You can describe what it's like to ride through coastal fog on a bike, but hard to really capture it.
What you can't see in this pic, is to the left, it's straight down about a 1000 feet.
Fortunately, with coastal fog, at least you can ride above it.
At right beneath that fog is the Pacific Ocean.
