    Thumbup Modding a BMW K1200R - A Pictorial

Am fiddling with a K1200R right now, thought I would post up some pics of the mods and blog the changes to this bike. Don't know who might get something from this, but maybe you'll enjoy the transformation in Pictures.

Here's what it's got so far:

-Corbin heated Solo Saddle with Smuggler rear case (very cool)
    PIAA Lights - very bright!
    -Rear Luggage rack
Powerlet Auxilliary BMW socket on left under handlebar for power
    -Two RAM mounts
    -Thottlemeister throttle lock
    -Steel Braided Brake Lines

    What I'd like to do:

    Add & install
    -Pazzo Levers
-Adaptiv TPX Radar w/ LED Heads UP & audio wired into AutoComm
-wire in a Powerlet 100w Heater Liner & install a hard mounted Heat Troller and wires
    -Autocom Comm System
-On-board Video DVR System - 2 separate systems
-Galfer Wave Rotor on the rear
    -New tankbag

    Ready for transformation?

First thing to do is get rid of the stock black levers. Compared to the super-sexy Pazzo Levers, the stock black are the most god-awful looking piece of pot metal. Sorry folks, they are. Just hideous.

In the dictionary under 'Blah' - this is what it looks like.

Woo Hoo! Pazzos finally arrive. This is a Silver-Short with Black Adjuster. The silver is a great color. It positively glows. Black is most common for BMW owners but silver looks great!

Picture above not the greatest, but the transformation is day and night! Looks hot!

Buy Now Info on Pazzo Levers is here if you need a set.

Btw, that little blue tool kit in the pic above I had to source to work on this bike. Handy and folds real small. Info on that is here.

BMW stuff is all hex-pro & I had to get a new tool kit to work on this bike. (excuse to buy new tools! )

Install wasn't too hard. Trick was to line up the little black push rod thingy perfectly and the brass bushing slid right in.

    Ta Da!! Awesome.

Next installment will be adding the Adaptiv TPX Radar to the bike & making a mount.

But, then, the pious optimism and the glib theatricality are disturbed every now and again by intrusions of shattering realities.

Hmm, I think I prefer the OEM black levers -- but I applaud your flair!

My F800 has the Torx stuff (well Torx works with it anyway). Do you plan to offer that fancy kit in a Torx ever? Or does Hex mean the same thing? Wait I see it is called a "Star" wrench set. Do need one in T10 through T 55 though. Anything like that?

Oh and whats the story here Tim you drinking Bobs BMW Koolaid now?

Torx, Hex, Star all the same stuff Mark.

This bike is on loan to the tour company to use as a camera platform for filming the rides. I have a MotoComm & MotoCam to work with. Tim has a VioSport mounted on his Hypermotard. And I think I'm going to source one of those Hero GoPro's. 170 degree lens, and no wires.

Get to that in a bit.

Tim, PM me about the GoPro Hero. My son sells them and unless someone is gonna give you one, I can have him 'hook you up, brother'.

Anyone else interested in the Hero, I have used it for the past few months and really like it, PM me and I'll have the kid do you right.

Sweet! Looks like a good stable mate for the Busa. Opening a new accessory line for Bimmers?
