Last week I had Wednesday of work, the weather was great, a blue sky and predicted 70 degrees. A great day for a ride. I have never been to the Ď hidden city Ď of Marin, so I decided to visit Bolinas, a couple miles south of Point Reyes on Hwy. 1. My route took me through San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, a little detour through the Marin Headlands, Hwy. 1 through Stinson Beach, along the coast to Bolinas, Than back via Bolinas Fairfax Road, Ridgecrest Blvd., Mt. Tamalpais and through San Francisco to Belmont. A very nice ride, ca. 120 miles, took a lot of breaks, time ca. 4 hours.
Golden Gate Bridge seen from El Camino del Mar, near the Legion of Honor.
Bakers Beach, where, as they say, surfing was invented back in the 70ties.
Iím not planing of swimming here - in the midst of January
