    September Ride Out Scotland

    Ride to North Scotland,leaving Teesside on the A66 then A19 North bound up to Berwick on the A19 - A1- across the Forth Road Bridge to Blair Athol for a pint or two ,after parking up for the day in the Blair Athol Hotel

    Parked at Berwick for petrol which is not cheap these days

    I have stayed here a few times now it just breakes the ride up nice
    aprox 200 miles from home ,Teesside East Coast UK.
    from here it is Inverness A9 North bound and A99 Wick then A99
    To John o Groats all along the East Coast To the Top.
    ,all in tents on the cheap

    Ready to leave on a wet morning,one stop for Petrol at Aviemore
    should get us to John o Groats.

    Weather a little better so we are off to the top (John o Groats) ?Well John o Groats is not the top , Dunnet Head is the top and well worth the visit
    for the wild birds up here ,No doubt a lot of people will have to go back to the top ,it is like lands End it is furthest West ! not South .

    We met 3 lads who had rode up on cycles from Lands End to John o Groats
    collecting donations for the war Hero's of Afganistan Eleven days it took them
    and did they look like they were glad to have finished it
    It is a good ride up here well worth it,but we have a week to ride around
    and will be doing a lot more of the West Coast.

    Loch Naver on the B873 road to Altnarra first part of this road from Betty Hill
    on the B871 has a nice river running alongside with a lot of fishermen trying there luck at the Salmon How much would that cost £---- no doubt

    John, awesome shots. I just gotta try and make it over to Scotland. Notarian and I had it all planned but it simply didn't come together. Maybe soon! *fingers crossed*
