Once you're on the ride, it becomes a fantastic blur.

Don't let the blur take a hold of you.
If I didn't do my ride reports I would forget much of what I saw. And rereading them, I get to relive them.
    So true.

Tim, I am retiring April 18. You have inspired me. My wife got tired of me "stewing" over the date and said to go for it. I'll keep her working. She is younger so she hasn't paid the entire price yet. Colorado early May will be my first "retirement trip".

My wife is 11 years younger still working, life is good
I kinda looked at it like "If I couldn't afford to retire, I'd never be able to afford to retire" so why putz around making the decision.
Its really kinda funny though. I must have left an impression with people that this was a "I might take a trip" and they are starting to realize with 5 days to go that "I AM TAKING THIS TRIP". I guess for people that don't do a lot of riding, the idea of 8-10 weeks on a motorcycle isn't all that SANE.

Mine is 17 years younger. Married 17 years. I got lucky with this one. She is not high maintenance, works hard, and puts up with me. She even helped me raise my three daughters (their mother sure didn't help). What more can I ask for?
