    Hwy 58 wildflower report???

    Has anyone ridden Hwy 58/Shell Creek/Bitterwater within the past week? I'd like try and time my upcoming ride for peak wildflowers. Thanks!!

    Sorry for late reply. 58 has lots of green and quite a few places with flowers blooming. It's always worth the trip

    Made the trip this past Wednesday (Hwy 58 & Carizzo Plain), and by my own amateur eyes, I think we were about a week early. There was a good amount of color, but many of the flowers were in the 'budding' stage - not quite blooming. This coming week and next it should be spectacular. However, to see the length of 58 carpeted in green was well worth the trip.
