    Cecilville

A few weeks back I took my wife out on the Black Beauty over to Cecilville. It was stunning there that day. This picture is from the Cecilville-Callahan road. One awesome place to ride.

I got to get out and start riding instead of through the lens of others. I had never even heard of this town before, looks like a great area to ride!

Peter, there's a couple of nice roads tucked away in that little corner of the world that deserve a good look-see. https://goo.gl/maps/37KBhTeWtb82

It won't disappoint! Truly a great ride. But as we move along into summer the lower elevations can be quite hot. Best to do in the morning to enjoy.

You can spend a year of week ends riding around within a 150 mile radius of Redding, have covered a few roads but bunches still waiting. Rides like this are a great example of how cool the back roads of Calif. can be.

    Hornet
Thanks for the RR and pics.

Is gas really $4.57 for super?

I did a ride down there 3 years ago. BruceH gave me some great directions a bit north of Cecilville.

From Weaverville take 3 north to Etna, gas there. At Fort Jones take a left along the Scott River, follow that and stay on the pave road, can't get lost. You will hit 96 back to Happy Camp where you can turn off north to Obrien, OR and 199, then left to Crescent City and 101.

Here is my comment to Bruceh.
Scott River Rd was a delight. I think I saw 1 car and caught up with 1 motorcyclist.

Here is the link to that ride.

    Safe travels, KEN
