Don't you ever get tired of making us jealous and having ride envy?

I'm not sure I can think of a more perfect few days as you had on this ride. It might be possible but it would take some serious thinking and well, that's not my forte. Instead I'll just steal some more of your gorgeous photos for my desktop slideshow that helps send me to my happy place while I sit in my little gray cube.
Thank you again for a superb ride-along. You
Ha! Hey, I could have twisted the knife by taking pictures of the great BBQ pork tenderloin my brother made for our dinner, along with a big salad and fresh sourdough bread. And I didn't bother with all the vibrant wildflower patches I passed.

Excellent! I remember the Hopland Grade, it can / will pump you up. The Old Farts were running parallel with you up in the St Helena area. We did not get nearly as good views,,, but the day was drop dead perfect to be riding up to Jack London State Park, just out of Glenn Ellen. The roads have suffered from the rains, watch for dirt / gravel about anywhere! Fish Rock Rd. is officially on the list!

Yup, the one extra thing that makes the Hopland Grade tricky is the gravel that seems to pop up with great regularity. With all those tight curves, and all those boats getting towed, they tend to cut the curb and drag the gravel. As if the road alone didn’t demand 100% of your attention (wow, it’s so unforgiving!), finding the little bits of gravel while in full lean with a 300’ drop off on the side will definitely make it a memorable ride.
