Hwy 229, Creston Country Store - San Luis Obispo Co

Right next to the post office, there's a deli counter in the country store. They make a great sandwich (and the world's best cinnamon rolls).

And 229 is not to be missed if you are in the area.

Btw... Creston in San Luis Obispo County (Coastal Central California) is at the center of this map.

Bit of trivia- science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, known for starting his own religion, the Church of Scientology, spent his final days in tiny Creston until dying in 1986.

After lunch - Very unique stretch of road headed south out of Creston down to Highway 58. La Panza is fun backroad too!

Last time I tried to check the place out they were closed, but I hear they've got decent burgers. Sometimes they have concerts in their backyard. Word has it Wille Nelson is gonna play there in May. Not really a country fan myself, but seeing Willie play a little hole in the wall like that would probably be pretty cool.
