Adding a 12volt connection

I want to mount my radar detector on my bike for all the obvious reasons. The one I have plugs into my truck through the cigarette lighter. It does not have an area to batteries in. I want to wire in a 12volt connection but can't find any in the usual areas. (Catalogs and dealers) I've seen some here with the hook ups on their bike, and wanted to know where I can pick one up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially since I'm heading into the Police infested Los Angeles area.

I found a 12v connector at Kragens a couple of years ago. when connecting it the center is hot or + wire. The only reason I mention it is mine didn't come with anything telling me what was what and I am NOT an electrician. The 2 wires were something like green and white or some other odd combo. What ever happened to red/black or even black/white?
