Winter Park, FL

Our latest trip took us to Winter Park, FL only a few hours from Gainesville where we live. More exploring than riding. They have a neat what I call ATM machine at the Wine Room, or at least after using it a few times you would call it a Neat ATM...

Re: Winter Park, FL

Very cool post, Michel. Enjoyed the great photos and story!! Really looked like a fun time! Rob (husband) and I used to live in Florida (St Petersburg...I'm sure you know where that is!! ) and I see from the pics alot of the scenery looks similar (mossy, swampy trees, etc!) Any pics of the roads you travel on around your way? (backroads) I guess there aren't too many twisties? Anyway, thanks for sharing your story with us!

Re: Winter Park, FL

Glad you enjoyed it Suzi, we did make a trip to St. Petersburg http://michelmarciamotorcycletrips.c...etersburg.html as far as swamp the old Florida look this link is just south of Gainesville with a restaurant that fits in the Yearling http://michelmarciamotorcycletrips.com/yearling1.html as far as twisties there isn't much that I know of. But there is a road in Crystal River called Ozello Trail its about 8 miles and dose have twisties and North Florida has Hwy 150 which most sport bike would love. Just south east of Ocala off of Hwy 42 is 182nd ave some more twisties nothing like the mountain roads in Northern Georgia. Most of the roads I have mention have videos and pictures here is the link page they are on. http://michelmarciamotorcycletrips.com/backroad.html
