Stay the night: CAMPERS & TENTERS: Lots of room for tents in a football-field sized grassy area. If you tent, be prepared for cold overnight temps. Fall at 4500 feet in the Sierra Nevada Mountains? You do the math! Warm days, cool nights.

Our host property has room for large RV's, FunMovers, Camping trailers and other assorted large vehicles. There are probably 20-30 camping spaces. If you plan to camp, trailer up your dirtbikes/quads, or use up a camping space, please contribute an extra $10 to the owner for allowing this event on his private property.

Not a camper you say?

Finding Sopiago Springs...

Sopiago Springs Resort is located a few miles north of Hwy 88 (Carson Pass). Take Omo Ranch Rd north several hundred yards. Omo Ranch Rd splits & North-South Rd begins heading due north to connect with Mormon Emigrant Trail. Omo Ranch Rd turns due west towards Hwy E16 & Fairplay.

North-South Rd drops off the ridgeline and descends a twisty goaty path (yes, large campers do fine, this is is traversed by large water tanker semi's) 2 miles to a fork in the road. Tim often refers to a stump on the north side of the road here, but descending northward down the hill, hard to see. There will be a sign here "PASHNIT -->" and arrow at this fork in the road. If you go more than 2 miles, you've gone too far.

See the fork? Go right.

MS&T lists Tim's address (the fork in the road actually) as 1532 North-South Rd, Somerset, CA 95684- but that may or may not work on your GPS.

GPS COORDINATES: Sopiago Springs Entrance: 38° 32.253 / 120° 26.537’

PHOTO Directions: Awhile back, John wrote a terrific thread about how to find Tim's place. Read that here - Clicky!! If you plan to arrive in the middle of the night, be advised there is not a light on for miles.

Well there is the matter of that teeny tiny itsy bitsy camp fire that TOT like to light off. Don't know if you can see it from the road, But last year I heard the ISS reported some strange bright light from the area east of Jackson, CA in late October for two nights in a row......

Glenn and I will be leaving Friday morning as well.

395 to the 108 to the 47 then onto the 26 great road up to the 88 just w of Pioneer. If you have never been on the 108 it is a great ride.

So, if a H_D rider shows up just for Saturday (short jaunt but great ride from home), is that acceptable?

LLoyd Are you asking Me? As far as I know when ever you show up on what ever you show up on is ok with this group. There is no better bike thing going on in Pashnit. The people that attitude is what I love about Pashnit. I have met some really nice people just by posting can I join your ride.

Saturday I am going to take the doughter on a loop around Tahoe The wife and I really like that ride. You would be welcome to take that ride with us.

Here on Pashnit, its not what you ride, its that you ride. Anytime you wanna show up is fine. There are lots of folks that just ride in for a bit on Saturday as well as the one that go and camp for the weekend. I have done both at different gatherings. Look forward to seeing you whenever you get there.
