My New Bike
Hey Ya'll !
I've been riding for decades, and I've been hesitant to get a complicated modern motorcycle. Most of my machines have been old H-D's, Honda 750 4's, and a 2001 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 for the last 8 years. But I've been wanting to get back in to some serious riding my Bullet isn't capable of, and I've been trying to figure out what I wanted. Well, I've concitered the Kawasaki Versys, and the Suzuki 650 V-strom. But I got a deal I couldn't refuse. My wrench took in an 01 Suzuki Bandit 1200S to do some work on, and he ended up having to do a lean sale on it because the idiot didn't pay the bill. So I just bought it for $ 900.00 ! Yes $ 900.00. ![]() It has new tires, chain & sprockets, battery, was serviced completely, and the oil was changed. I'm taking it real easy on her after going from 22 HP to whatever this insane biatch puts out. I havn't even twisted her 6K RPM's yet (11K redline), and it feels increadable. OMG. It's almost a sexual expirence ! I'm setting her up for touring, and I've ordered Givi engine guards/top case & mount, MFW rider footpeg relocators, Laminar Touring Lip windshield, Fenda Extenda front fender extender, Holeshot rear wheel hugger, and Scott chain oiler sofar. But I'm not sure what seat to get. I had a Corbin on my last 92 Honda 750 Nighthawk, and I really didn't care for it. Anyone got any suggestions ? OK, I'm going riding. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
