40 Years of Riding

Well almost. The last 4 recovering from my 2008 sudden stop. Well, I'm feeling ok to do some slow rides these days, so I'm window shopping for a used bike. Living in New Jersey these days and do I miss the mountains of the west.

Keeping it short. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi to my old friends. Had to stay away as I couldn't ride and seeing all this was like torture. Hope to be back in the saddle real soon, just need to decide what kind of saddle! Lol. Take care my friends and stop by and say hello sometime.

Re: 40 Years of Riding

New Jersey? New Jersey!!! WTF??

Dale - great to see you pop up, and I'm thrilled to hear you might be getting back on a bike. Some of my fondest memories are of our run up ACH and then chasing you and Matthew over Bascomb, 150, 33, Cerro Noroeste, etc.

Keep in touch and congrats on being well enough to ride again. I'll let LAB know as well.

Drop me and email or PM with details on what's going on with your life.

Hope the rest of the family is doing well also.

Oh yeah, you're somewhere up near Matthew too.

Take care,

jdg

Re: 40 Years of Riding

Welcome back Dale, glad you are on the mend. You were one of the first that responded to an oldfart and though we have never met, I feel like I know you. The last time I was in New Jersey was in 1953 and it was a blast at Wildwood but the boardwalk in Atlantic City was a ghost town. I imagine things have changed since then..........Ken

Re: 40 Years of Riding

Oh its good to year from old friends and see a lot of the original group still here and active.

Dan look for me in the Sierras in early 2014, when my SO will have retired and we move west!

John I'll most likely avoid LA in the future. Nothing personal, just trapped there for to many years. But I'll meet you on 33, the Crest, or in Big Bear.

Syd, when are we riding again? Lol I will look you up as soon as I'm close.

Ken, so glad to see your comment. Always loved your stories and conversation. I'm going to make a point of stopping in once I return.

Youre all like long lost family. Really good to hear from all of you.

Re: 40 Years of Riding

Hi Kris!

Well im done with dirt for now. That can be done in my jeep. Looking for a slower ride, like a busa! Just kidding. Looking around at cruisers, touring and sport touring that be comfortable 2 up. Lots to look at especially since I have to go used on a budget.

Out here used bikes have really low miles from what I've seen. Must ne the short riding season and seasonal riders.

Re: 40 Years of Riding

You get yourself out here and we will ride ... I know riding the California mountains is a tough job, but someone has to do it, may as well be us.
