GPS research

I'm just researching some of the GPS divices and found this forum very interesting. I do have some questions for those of you with experience using the different devices. For those with experience with multiple GPS units could you describe some of the pros and cons with the units you have previously used? I am currently looking at the Garmin 2610 GPS, 276C. I'm sure that others who are interested in GPS devices would also appriciate all of the information compiled into one post.
