Mild October

Back out on the bike mid morning , I was struck by how mild the weather is , bearing in mind we are almost in November .
After filling up the Panzer with fuel , I wend my way through familiar countryside for another enjoyable ride ................

On the way to Minster Lovell ..........

Then up through Field Assarts , before turning off toward Swinbrook ...........

Most of the houses around here are made from local stone ...........

Bloody hell .......more traffic ..........

Coming into Swinbrook ..............

It's really very pretty around here .................

Now on the way past St Oswalds church towards Burford .............

Here it is ...................

A river meanders through the countryside ..............

I like these colours ...............

A swan ........very graceful .................

On the way home now .............time for reflection ..............

The road home ...............

It's good to ride , and today has been another fab day !!

Re: Mild October

Steve,

Beautiful pics. Those stone walls look like they've been there forever. They also look like a real good reason to practice (sure would not want to come in contact with one of those on the move!!).

Really sweet looking bike too.

Re: Mild October

Truly a beautiful November day! Glad you took advantage of it. Looks like a very peaceful area. A place one could easily get lost in thought while riding thru. Thanks for sharing your day with us.

Top tip ...............
Get up really early , and ride EMPTY roads , with all the vista and wildlife to yourself ....then ride home for breakfast , do some chores , and get back out again as soon as you can

I have had so many rewarding bike rides at this time of day , just got to keep an eagle eye out for PHEASANT , and deer - I always ride steady when on the country roads .

Born in 1962 , but still go to work ............... sometimes I just get up early and take a scenic route to get there , stopping briefly [ ] to take a photo or two along the way .
