Busa Status, Tim?

Haven't heard a word about your Busa sunce that little drop a few weeks ago. Is she back on the road? All healed? Or waiting on parts?

Re: Busa Status, Tim?

Odds are pretty good Tim is out riding instead of dropping in here between honeydos like me.

Speakin' about binged bikes, how's your bike coming Dale? New meats etc?

You aren't the only one doing those honey dos! I'm multi tasking! Repainting the master bedroom, cleaning the carpets downstairs, laundry and messing around on line. Figured I'd get caught up at home this weekend and hit the twisties next weekend. Might do a short ride Sunday but the tires are shot so I won't be going far or fast.

The Gixxer is all cleaned and rubbed out. Came out good. I'll pull the wheels this week for some new tires. I think I'm going to switch from 208's to some Power Pilots. She's about due for an oil change and tune up, so I'll be busy wrenching during the week.

Yeah, I'm fine. Superficial injuries only. The bike took it harder than me. Twenty-one-year-old suspension doesn't work very well in corners with bumps. Too much compression, and slow rebound makes the bike push to the outside of a corner. Everything works just fine until there are bumps mid-corner. I low-sided on the left.

Broken fairing, cracked windshield, broken ignition (had to hot-wire it to get it home), bent rear tail-piece mounting brackets, and tail piece bent down and to the right, broken taillight lense and cracked housing, both front turn signals broken.

I guess I'm going to try to get creative with a little fiberglass on the rear, since I doubt I'll have much luck finding replacement parts. Anyone know of some affordable tail-light set-ups? I kind of like the dual-light look. I can graft anything aftermarket into the fiberglass piece I plan to build.

Re: Busa Status, Tim?

Hey, hey, hey...you boys (and girls ) slow down! That's too many crashes in to short a time. At least we don't have any major hospital (or morgue) stories, always a BIG plus. Let's just try a bit harder to avoid any more.

Any more crashes and I'm gonna dust off the old cite book (if I can even locate it) and pay y'all a visit. "Yer in a heap a trouble son/girl...yer in trouble with the law."
