No Problem that is what we are all here for RIGHT
If you can afford it take a strong look at Sergeant seats. I have a friend that has a late model GSXR 1K that he has put the LSL risers on it and is very happy with it as a sport tour bike.

Can you post some pics of that bike? Also, check the registration or title. I'd bet is an 83 or older. I'm not sure, but I don't think Yamaha built the Seca 750 after 83 or 84. Steve might chime in here and verify that for us. I think the XJ Maxim was built up to @ 86 or so but the styling was different from the Seca even though both bikes shared the same drive line. The Seca was more of a standard and the Maxim was more cruiser style.

Re: Question - how to make R1 more comfortable?

Well guys I finally took care of one part of making my R1 a bit more comfortable. I found a guy who redid my seats with better foam and a heavy duty leather for 125. there really comfortable and I like the way they turned out.

looks like people already covered the bar risers and such. here are the other things that come to find

sport touring windscreen.

as for ur passenger. maybe buyin some Givi hard luggage, such as a tail bag. not surehow they mount to ur bike, but its something she could lean back on during straights and such. also provides some storage for other things ull need on the longer trips. just an idea

Seriously though, I'm hoping for some good ideas as my bum (believe it or not) is a bit bony and hurts like hell after around 3 hours in the saddle.

Now, why would you do that to a perfectly good sportbike! Be careful with adding hard luggage as you may overload your rear subframe pretty easily. If you are looking, www.twistedthrottle.com has a great selection of Givi and SW Motech for very reasonable prices (relatively).

Great suggestions everyone! Someone already beat me to the "sell it and get an FJR" suggestion

ok this is what I do , when im on the road for I will take some time and release pressure off my arms by pulling my body up right and taking pressure off of my arms every 5miles , for my butt , shifting it front to back seems to help me for a mile or 2, then I keep asprin under my seat for the return trip.
