Just a little closer to home is the Merced River Canyon, between Mariposa and El Portal. The poppies are all over the hillsides, and the Redbud trees should be popping within the next week.

Rode along the Merced River Canyon to El Portal a couple of weeks ago and the wildflowers were still putting on a spectacular show.
