Re: Has anyone used airhawk or gel seat cushions?
I have an Airhawk for my California Special, which has a cruiser style of seat and is a killer for more than 150 miles or so. With it, I've done 500 in a day (2k+ in a week) with ease.
The trick is to get the air pressure correct. If you over inflate, you start floating around and it affects your riding. If too low, your butt still hurts. The idea is to get just enough air to support your butt so that pressure points are eliminated. If you do this, you'll be comfortable all day and it won't affect you're riding. If you have a bike and like the looks of the seat but want to be able to go on longer rides, I highly recommend it.
