Re: What was your first motorcycle?

I do not have a picture of my first bike, a 1969 Yamaha 50 cc street bike. But here is my wife's first bike. A 1978 Honda Enduro. We still have the bike. Runs like a dream.

Does a moped count as a motorcycle? :-)

If not, then my Honda CL360 was the first. I can't even remember the year. Sure was a fun bike.

It's the one on the left, obviously.

Re: What was your first motorcycle?

1972 Honda CB175 street bike. 2 cylinder. It has a plexiglass windshield and a big box on the rear. Everyone called me the mailman.. so the windshield and box got the boot.

My buddy had a Sears 106. It was great, but the shifter and brake were on the wrong side. Actually the shifter was gone and a vice grip replaced it.

Thats really kinda funny. My first bike was a 1975 CL360 and my current bike is an XS1100. Just a bit funny.

Re: What was your first motorcycle?

A 2002 Honda Nighthawk CB250 --- put 5,000+ miles on that little bike - it was so great and took me long and far. Here's the day I bought it - I was so excited, nervous and scared - I couldn't believe I was buying a motorcycle! It was the perfect bike for me - lightweight, easy to handle - sure a little slow - but with a strong tailwind it could > 85MPH

Re: What was your first motorcycle?

First bike I road was a Honda 50, but the first one I could call my own was my little Honda CT70, not sure of it's year , either a 69,70 or 71? wish I could remember, I want to pick up another one for old times sake, my wife thinks I'm nuts, she just doesn't understand.

I couldn't even do my chores without using my bike, check out those knee patches, Dam was I cool or what!!!

Re: What was your first motorcycle?

I got my first bike in 1982 - it was a 1972 Suzuki TS-250. It was blue just like this one in the picture (but not in as good shape). Didn't go on the dirt much except when my friend Ed taught me how to shift/ride it. I had a manual transmission truck, so I was familiar with the shifting concept.. Only had this bike for awhile when I found a Honda Hawk 400 that I really liked.

1977 or 78 Yamaha RD 125 I loved that bike, I had never ridden before and had to as the sales guy after purchasing it how to ride it.

A 1978 Suzuki RM-50 when I was 8 years old. Greatest time of my life! First street bike was a 1999 Suzuki SV650.
