Re: Show Me your motorcycle photos... A Wolf in Sheep's clothing

Scratching the Rod at a Trackday in 2011

you remember those days when you got your latest bike ..... and you spent hours and hours (and hours) polishing every bit of it..... yeah well it doesnt look this clean all the time now...

Some people think Harleys are all just "show" and no "go" .... this one boogies! 150+ ponies and 105 ft/lb of stump pulling torque from an 1130cc motor

and this is what is under the hood... - makes the standard motor very tractable - increases torque delivery at much lower RPM than standard so overall makes for a very pleasant (fun) ride ....

Advanced: review your motorcycle, include specifications, and rating.

I'm wondering if there is an aspiring moto-journalist who will emerge and post a motorcycle review?
G'day all

Great to see a wide variety of bikes and riders in this thread and goes to show we are all pretty similar no matter where we come from or what we ride ..
I've owned this 2005 VRSCB since 2008 and put on close to 30,000 km's - (about 20,000 miles) mostly just day rides, commutes and the occasional weekender doing 6-700 kms.

The thing I love about it is it's ability to shock Jap and Euro bike riders when they expect the 600lb "cruiser" (bus/tractor/slug) to be wayyyyy back in the pack and certainly not rounding them up the outside on a corner and leaving them to eat dust.... (not that it happens that way every time ... but enough to keep me amused )

I bought it 2nd hand with the blower and pipes already on it and have not done anything else to it other than put in an aftermarket fuel tank to improve the riding range ....although I have been toying with the idea of putting a Buell front end on it to improve the ground clearance and give me some more braking power... but it is still heaps of fun the way it is ... i just need to get new foot pegs and radiator guards.

Would love to bring it with me to ride in California this August when Juls and I come over for our big 3 week tour ..... but... will have to make do with a rental from Eagle Riders and hope they at least have some decent pipes and air flow sorted out on the one they give me.

Cheers

Several of the photos kind of speak for themselves.

For those of you that are in to MMA and watch it live or on TV, you'll probably recognize some or all the girls gathered around my bike. For somebody that doesn't know.......you'd never guess that these girls are all cage fighters and were on the reality TV series a couple of years ago on the Oxygen Network, the series Fight Girls.

That's a sweet bike JCZ! Kinda wary of the cage fighters though, I hate when girls beat me up.

Brian, great photos.

The first one looks like it was taken near your home in Oakville, but where were the others taken? What months?

Let's see...first one in February in the Alexander Valley. The V-Strom is last May at Washington Pass in North Cascades NP in Washington State. The 800 is on the Icefields Parkway in Banff/Jasper B.C., a couple of Julys ago. The Dyna is from July of '06. I hardly ride the FXDL, except for short trips. Not worth much to sell, so it's still here.

Yea, I hear you. I mean Montanna is just over the hill from Oakville isn't it.

Have they opened the deli back up yet? Looked like a major remodel going on there when I passed by a few weeks ago.

Hahaha yeah I guess MT is a little ways away. Nah, Oakville Grocery's still closed, post office still in the trailer behind it. Haven't heard a specific opening date for the grocery, but with tourist season coming it'll be sooner than later. Headin' out to ride up 29 and out to Berryessa now...love Fridays off.
