Nice little RR, John !!

Did part of your loop about a month ago with J O and the Flying Duck. Did Montezuma, Yaqui, and Sunrise, had lunch in Ocotillo and then turned around and went back via Palomar.

Smuggler's Run looks interesting, I'll have to check it out one weekend when I go down your way to see my little bro' and cuzzin.

Great report, John. I just haven't done enough riding down there. I don't know about any of the fun roads only the ones to avoid during traffic!

I'll tell you, I'm about ready for some shades of summer. It's a brisk 40 currently in Sacto, and my new bike is parked snuggly in the garage awaiting warmer days. I hate being cold.

Looks like it was pretty warm there, all but up in elevation. NICE!!

Smuggler's Run (Highway 94) rocks Bruce! C'mon down anytime and let's ride!! It's the second most photographed motorcycle road in SD County after Palomar Mtn. Check out this guy's site: http://hwy94photo.com/ It's about 51 miles from Rancho San Diego to Cameron Corners. Cameron Corners is otherwise known as "The Office" to sportbikers. This is a pic I took of a typical Saturday afternoon at "The Office."

It just takes (much) practice to rewire your brain to a new way of doing things, but keep it up - you'll make it happen!

That's a great "winter" route you took. Years ago, it was called "El Corridor" (The runner) Route. You missed some great roads while you were on this route. I know time was a factor but the days are getting longer! WHOOP WHOOP! I got some roads to show ya...next time! I'm about 2 miles from Tamarack Beach...
