Carolyn, I was nervous because I'd heard those negative comments too... but it helped that we were folks who had done this before and had the insights of what to do, where to go, and how to do it. It's really common sense and not putting yourself in a situation that could go awry... and hell, you could get into trouble in any country if you don't plan properly.

Gee.....look what I miss from not coming on this site much nowadays!

That was a fantastic RR, Tyler. What an exciting adventure! As I said in your Cambria RR, your photography is beautiful! Wow, very impressive! And such a great group of friends you have too! It really looked like alot of fun and very tempting as well! I, too, among others have heard so many horror stories that I never even considered going down in that area! With a group and sensible planning etc it seems like it'd be fine!

Your story telling is superb! Now go wash/wax poor Clifford!

When I remember back to the time (not that long ago) so many of us were checking every day for an update on your condition, about whether or not you would even be alive each day, and the pictures of you in the hospital bed, the contrast between then and now is overwhelming. I'm betting your tears of gratitude were not the only tears of gratitude while this report was being read by us Pashnites. God is good.

Yup, Dan... that was it... to experience something so amazing and understand what a gift it was just to be there... I am so grateful to you and all the amazing spirits who were a part of my healing... I would not be here without it!

Wow Tyler what a report! You certainly have some beautiful photos and had a wonderful experience. Did anyone in your group speak Spanish? You make me feel like a chicken because I think of all the things that could go wrong on a trip, like that flat tire Scott got. If that had happened in the middle of nowhere it could have been very difficult to deal with. Guess I am really getting soft in my old age. I need to step out of my comfort zone! Great job!

One person spoke Spanish quite well. The rest of us had rudimentary knowledge of enough words to get by along with lots of gesturing and charades.

When you're with a group of folks you know and trust, you can deal with anything. I wouldn't recommend traveling solo down there for the very reason of if you need help, you've got amigos to help you out... when there's a will, there's a way!
