Hello Anel...if you are really looking for riding partners to do this ride you might want to put a post in ride planning and see who bites. I imagine it will get lost here on an old ride report.

Thanks for a great ride report, makes even more excited about our upcoming road trip in August that see us go throu Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and California.

We are stopping in Sholow on our way to Phoenix and travelling what looks like a great road but hope you can give us some local knowledge and suggest any "must see" Roads or sites.

You might be tight already...that place gets VERY busy on the lodging front.

Over 100,000 attend at the ~80 acre field to watch the ascension take place.

Was in Durango last year at that time, saw a bit of the TV coverage. They seem to have traffic control reasonable (no lane sharing, remember), but still - masses of humanity before dawn.
