Great post. I also thought of combining a SS1000 with the TOH only starting from Vegas. I've got the Boulder and Hoover sites already. Haven't made the time yet for the rest though.

That is an epic fuel/water storage and delivery system. I have long dreamed of augmenting my bike's fuel supply but have never seen as elegant a solution as yours.

Congratulations!

I made my attempt at the SS1K a couple of weeks back (Pleasanton, CA to Rawlins, WY 1044 miles) on my almost-as-sporty-as-a-'Busa KLR650. FYI - My post is found under the US Rides section.

Love the Busa setup too. You seem to have racked up quite a few of these Iron Butt rides now if I'm not mistaken; while I have yet to do even one, it has long been and continues to be a goal of mine. I think laziness is my biggest roadblock.

Maybe if I keep reading inspirational stories like these I'll finally get 'round to it...

Agreed... This is an awesome fuel/water delivery system, and I would like to recreate this on one of the bikes I am working on. Are there any links that might help me out if I decide to take this project on? Thanks. I will be making a ride out to Vegas this summer, and would like to combine a SS1000 with the TOH. While in Las Vegas, I am also hoping to check out some Las Vegas Shows. Any recommendations for the good shows to see while I am out there? Thanks.

yes more input about water, i ware a ff helmet and so far the only bite i have found are not so great, they need a bit more space to "fit".

love the water tank deal.
and sneaky way for the fuel....i bet not cal osha/carb/or any other ca letter agancy approved. but a very clean job of it.
