I had a early wake-up from the neighbor's dog at the campground. I forgot to bring by sleep mask and earplug from my AK trip. I was laying in the tent and here is the view. I hadn't put the roof on the tent.





I headed to Mitchel, OR. for breakfast. It's another nice little town on US26. The Oregon Hotel is on the left as I come into town from the east. It is a nice place to stay too. If camping; the city park is FREE. The cafe is next to the hotel.





The Picture Gorge is next. I only took a few pics to get you interested. You will have to come and see Picture Gorge for yourself.


There is a stream on one side a rock wall on the other.

High desert turns to rock and then pine tree forest. I love to ride US26. It is the best east-west rode in OR.

Again; I didn't take many pics. You've got to see it for yourself.
A few hours of scenic travels and I come into Sisters, OR. I fun, cute tourist trap.





I topped of the tank with some clear premium fuel (non-ethanol) and headed out of town onto Hwy 242 (old Mckenzie Hwy). I caught this rider taking a picture of the 3 Sisters Mountains.






You will need to go see it yourself on a better day then I. It was trying to drizzle on top of the pass when I went over.

I stopped to take a few pics at River Run Gallery in Walterville, OR.

I hitched up to a fancy trailer.

Ken, great finish up there. I love Mitchell; that motel is a great place to stay. Might have to go back there later this summer...

Awesome pictures!! Hard to choose which are great, as they all are pretty darn great! Can't wait to visit the Sundial Bridge! Maybe some year I'll be able to join the ride! Thank you for sharing new places and fun roads with us!
