Holy crap, you shoot good photos, Pyxie! These are simply wonderful, and so capture the spirit of the trip. Thanks so much for taking time to get such memorable shots.

Joanne,

Where's the picture of me talking to the CHP officer?

Wasn't it you that took that pic?

Fine photography, girls. Some absolutely gorgeous work!!!

Me thinks my "point and shoot" should now go find its place in the drawer, next to the my old Canon TX and pot pipes...

I can't wait to see more from the talented riders that side-line as photographers on non-riding days. (All but Pyxie, who is a REAL photographer! ) Seriously, you all have some fine photos!!

Re: 2012 Pashnit Girly Ride Photo Thread...hide your children...

I got some good pics of Tigger & the gals. I just haven't had time to edit them yet. Sleep deprived.

Thanks for putting all this together Donna. I am sooooooo glad I opted out of the Lost Coast. I'd prolly still be there getting airlifted out with my bike. LOLLL

As it was I ended up riding alone most of the trip(I'm the Tortoise) but had a blast. I kept meeting up along the way with all the different groups so in a sense I rode with everyone!

I think everyone got a good laugh that the Tortoise beat all the Hares to Curly Redwood by a good 1 1/2 & we all rode the same road! I even stopped at the store, then saw another Victory go by while getting my helmet on so went looky looing for them in the interum.

The road into Shelter Cove gave me a problem on the first hairpin but I was ok after that. I was SLOWWWWWW & everyone passed me several times cuz they kept stopping.

Coming out I blew that same corner dang it but did great the rest of the road. I had to laugh when Donna said she hated it cuz it has frost heaves etc! LOL Hell that was GOATY Miss Goat Lover!!! hehehe

All in all I loved the roads. Especially Davis/HappyCamp FS-15 or whatever the name of it was aka Indian Creek(?). I was happy to see a few other cruisers coming down the road as I was heading up so figured it went somewhere. My GPS has been known to lead me astray on occasion. (How ya think I get so many miles? I ride in circles!)

Here's a couple of pics~

Sarah & Tigger

And the fantastic dinner at The Oceanfront YUMMMY!

I gotta tell ya Syd, coming out that road was an entire other experience. I met Bonnie along the way (she stopped and got some awesome riding photos) and we both said, "is this the same road we came in on"? Going out was a BLAST!! I believe the difference was arriving at sunset and the end of a riding day. We were all tired and the sun in the eyes and the dark light, dark light presented a challenge in missing the water damage and seeing the road clearly. I gotta say, you couldn't convince me of that on the way out. It was a whole other amazing ride!!

I am still working out my photos...but I believe here is the curve of which you speak!

Here is how much of the road looked. Some was sooo amazingly steep and you couldn't even tell until you were in it!

I gotta tell you though, the last part that dropped into Shelter Cove was steep for a couple of miles and in that part I got passed by a kid on a dirt bike going about 35-40mph. I know that doesn't sound like much, but let me tell you, speed for road it was FAST! He was an amazing little rider! I heard he passed others doing wheelies.

Whatever the roadway into Shelter Cove...it was sooooooo well worth the ride. What a beautiful and amazing place!!

YUP!!! I paddled it LOL but at least stayed upright. I enjoyed it much better going uphill than down.

For sure it was a totally different road. I'd do it again. It wasn't that bad & the destination was to die for!

Great photos, everyone!!! Thank you to everyone who took the time to get them, I couldn't be bothered to turn off my music long enough to use my phone to take subpar pics. I'm glad I left it to the professionals and TRULY talented amateurs.
