2012--5th Annual Pashnit Girly Ride

Oooooh Nancy! I love the SoCal ride idea! The furthest South I've ridden for a ride is Modest. I haven't even gone to San Francisco yet on my bike. WTH?!?!

Howdee ladies!! I finally made it home last night!!!

Turned out to be a crazy couple of days! After the slime squirting incident coming off the freeway
in what ever place that was, I rode to Laytonville where Carolyn caught up with me and we rode to her place.
After a lot of consideration, Rob wanted to come and get me (take the rear wheel off and bring it home, leave
bike at Carolyn's) Well, I just called him to say I was going on a ride with Regina and Carolyn on one of her bikes
when I find out he got in a car accident in Livermore! He was ok.........just smashed his face and the dog
went flying into the seat in front of him. Both were shaken up but ok. Rob has one of the most awesome shiners I ever saw!!!
Car was disabled though. Long story, but the car is at a body shop in Livermore and my bike (minus the rear wheel) is at Carolyns.
I had hoped to ride it home yesterday, but apparently it sprung a new leak in another spot and was oozing slime yesterday morning.
So, I drove home with Rob in the rental car.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I had a mega blast on this ride even with the tire trouble!! Thanks to Nancy for being so excellent the whole weekend and helping
me so much! And to Carolyn for being such a great friend to let me stay at her place and leave my bike there for a couple of
weeks! And of course to Donna for organizing a most excellent ride!

Love the idea Nancy had! That would be SUPER!! I'm ready........LETS GOOOOO!!! Oh wait....I have to buy a new rear tire first!!

Hope I see all or some of you ladies real soon!! GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!

Just glad you made it home, Suzi as I knew you'd be in good hands with Carolyn. Sorry to hear about Rob's mishap and glad both he and the doggie are ok!!!

What about a SoCal Girly Ride, with a Streetmasters class on Friday with a fun ride on Saturday? The more people we can get, the cheaper it would be to do this (track rent, instructor salary, etc...).

Well Nancy this might work for a SoCal Girly Ride. I believe it would depend on when you want to schedule it. Go for it...it's a long way until the official 2013 Girly Ride next summer and I know there are many ready to go NOW!!! Would you include Caliente Bodfish?

Ahhh... Yeah.... Caliente Bodfish would definitely be a front runner for a choice of roads!

What about early October? That's when the weather starts to get good down here and it isn't too bad up North yet. Or, get this on the schedule for late April of next year.

Ooops! I forgot to mention, thanks to you Tinker, for your colorful and irrepressable sense of humor and your warm welcome.... Here I thought you were an old pro with all these gals.... I didn't know you were new too... I hope we can ride together again soon. Just for you, I'll dump the red riding suit and don leathers, so I don't embarrass you too much (me bein' without a proper hog and all...).

...How did you find fotos???!!! I am still so lost about the ins and outs of an online forum....

If anyone wants to connect again for a ride in the wine country or coast, I'll be happy to ride with you (but I will probably wear the red riding suit).
