Re: California Coyote Tale.....

Geeze I din't mean to stir up anything.

I actually work (well unemployed as of now AGAIN) for private contractors. I'm in the Laborers Union.

I found this ironic cuz as we all know the CA government needs to find a way to justify their high paying jobs somehow. I'd love to let them walk in my shoes for a couple of months & see how tough things are for the average Joe.

I found it funny (but unfortunately too close to the truth) as well Sydney!

As for the CA(dot)gov scenario... I think they may be operating on the Dilbert Principal.

Quote:
The Dilbert principle assumes that hierarchy just serves as a means for removing the incompetent to "higher" positions where they will be unable to cause damage to the workflow, assuming that the upper echelons of an organization have little relevance to its actual production, and that the majority of real, productive work in a company is done by people lower in the power ladder.

Re: California Coyote Tale.....

It was a joke. Like all good jokes, lots of truth and exaggeration mixed.

Everyone should laugh and not take things so seriously.

Thanks John & Ric. That's why it was put in the HUMOR section.

Re: California Coyote Tale.....

Funny stuff, and like all genuine humor it has basis in fact.

On a momentarily serious note, the Texas state government is scarcely less broke than that of California.

Still, with all of the complaining I do about California, it still has some of the best weather and best twisty roads that can be found on this planet.

Sure, it's technically possible, I guess.
This is the joke forum--laugh!

But, then, the pious optimism and the glib theatricality are disturbed every now and again by intrusions of shattering realities.
