and to think what the price of corn, beans, and "other" grains to make the trash they want to mix into our fuel...how much do you want to pat for a loaf of bread..$15.usd...$20.usd???

for every acre used to grow this grain, it takes one acre out of production for FOOD.

people are starving in countries were this fuel is the norm.

Bonnie (GeoNorskie) had a post that offered a possible way of looking at this to bring some clarity. Unfortunately it was addressed to some of the more partisan posts and I could not figure out how to edit it (keep the light while removing the heat) in a way that made sense for thread flow etc.

Law Dawg (ret) may or may not agree with your political philosophy but he is a huge fan of critical thinking and honesty. He is also a big fan of Pashnit and the emphasis on the ride normally found here. While he may not be great at putting all of the above to practical application, at least he tries. Law Dawg is not a Democrat/Libertarian/Republican/etc...he is a human being who likes to explore via motorcycle and will not fit into any political or religious box folk want to prepare for him. Thanks Law Dawg (ret)! My hope was to address this one issue on this thread, and keep the focus on getting everyone to express their feelings to their government representative.

Done. I also added language about comparable effects on small gas powered tools (lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc.). This fuel additive also has negative effects on these types of engines.

I wrote to my Reps requesting they initiate or sponsor legislation to suspend the ethanol mandate during this drought and not reinstate it until corn production has returned to normal for no less than three years. Guess how many replies I received.
