Memorial Ride

This year I was able to ride in the Chris Kilcullen Memorial Ride. Chris was a Eugene PD motor officer who was killed in the line of duty a year ago April, and a scholarship fund raising motorcycle ride was held.

There were three Pashnit riders there: Me, ZX11 Steve, and ScootDaddy.



The route was 248 miles long (Chris's badge number). Rumor has it there were over 200 motorcycles.



And one scooter.



There is a reason that I don't like riding in large groups...

I had a great time riding with Steve and Suzi, but I'd have liked to have not taken all freakin' day to ride 1/2 the route before I had to scurry home for a tuba concert.

Was a great ride; good to meet another pashnit rider. 3 bikes down during the ride- all riders expected to make a full recovery but one of the bikes will not...
amazing the love for this fallen officer and the support for his scholarship ride.
Ally and I will be supporting the fallen troops ride in Oregon in august... look for pictures...

It's really nice that you folks memorialize your friend and co-worker this way... I've been on a couple of memorial/fundraiser rides and it just has a special energy to it for lots of people...

And Ally, I don't know how you march around holding that huge tuba... I'd probably pass out in the first block!!

I don't march with that one. I march with this one:




It is easier to march with. But there are times that it gets pretty heavy...
