Paved all the way; typical (for us) state highway.

31 in a heartbeat 97 is boring and has way too many of my friends on it to travel a proper speed.

Re: Oregon hwy31?

I enjoyed riding over Silver Lake Rd/Bear Flat Rd btw US-97 and OR-31.
That's just south of the US-97/OR-138 jct. US-97 doesn't do anything
for me other than btw the US-97/OR-62 jct and Klamath Falls.

Ally there is a motel called west View off of hwy 97 and the guy from Washington is worried about noise off of 97, after a full days ride I have no problem with hwy noise.
Do you have any idea of how much night time traffic is on hwy 97?
