Sorry I haven't responded here lately. I'm still not getting e-mail notifications. Oh, well. Chris - I hope you enjoy every minute of your leave, bro! If you start to miss Iraq, just ride up to death valley with your dad. The temp should be pretty close.

And Dale - You can take over this entire thread if you want. You oughtta know by now I'm not posessive about my threads. I like your pic addistions, especially since I can't post any of mine right now. Enjoy hangin with Chris, and get that boy on two wheels and signed up here! Hmmm.....Gixxerjunior?

So glad for you that you get to enjoy leave with your son!!! When Matt was here on leave in January, we had the BEST time, it was like a year's worth of good times, emotions and smiles packed into 16 days! And, at least he got to see AK in the winter. He'll have those memories to keep him going when it's 102 degrees INSIDE his tent like it was today (123 outside)!
He gets to come home in early December so we won't be spending two Christmases apart!

Big +100s! Now would be a good time to remind that Memorial Day is not just a three day weekend. It is a time to thank our current and former service personel while we remember those who gave all to defend our freedom.

Got a flag? Yes, then fly it. No, then go buy one.

Is there a parade in your burg? Attend and shake some hands.

Vetran's cemetary? Come on, do I really have to say more?

A heart felt thanks to all our military folk here. From the mess tent to Force Recon, all served...all are heros.

(ran out of service smilies...what's up with that?)

Welcome home Chris...
Perhaps he's easier to see here, during a search.

I'm very fortunate to have him home with me for his 20th birthday which was the 23rd and he will be here over Memorial Day. Many troops will be hard at work while we are home with friends and family this Memorial Day, so take a moment to think of them, and thank them.

Re: Here's what I've been doing in Iraq...

Twenty...Lord, so young and so focused. I see a young warrior now Dale, thanks.

Chris, when you go back don't forget to duck while keeping a sharp sight picture. I'll have your back from my prayer closet (like to cover you closer but the Army would prosecute me for the way I would fight ).

Prayer list;

Matt (Toyuzu)
Ben (Master of the Comodore 64)
Chris (Dale's trained weapon of destruction)

Any site folk I have missed?

Re: Here's what I've been doing in Iraq...

Lets see...my Dad's flag flys at the VA Cemetary in Eagle Point, OR. My flag flys on LE Memorial Day, Memorial Day, from June 14 until July 5, November 10and 11. To all who serve or who have served, thank you. To those in harms way, God Bless You, watch over you, and bring you home safe and sound. To the families, you are in my prayers as well...thank you for sharing your loved one(s).

Got your six on the home front

Ally
