Re: Preliminary Crash Info - Gary
I hope Gary heals quickly. I would also like to say a special thanks to the fine folks who assisted Gary until the EMS people arrived. Maybe we can do something in appreciation to them. Gary's condition might have been much worse without their assistance. I certainly would be interested in chipping in $$ for a gift.

5pm Gary Update
Just got off the phone with Gary, he is still in the hospital but seems fine. He is pacing the room, just playing the waiting game for the Dr. to come and release him. They have cleared him of any lung issues from the bruise so all seems well. They will put his wrist in a cast on Wednesday. He said he is ready to ride!

Seems like Gary in good spirit but make sure follow the Dr.'s suggestions. Hope you heal fast just before summer time for more rides.

Re: Preliminary Crash Info - Gary
I don't check Pashnit for a few days and when I come back, this is what I find? OMG, I was afraid to open this posting and read it. I thought the worst, but thankfully it looks like everything will be ok. I can say this though, when Gary does something, he does it 100%. There were so many things that could have been different and caused this to be tragic. Someone or something is looking over you my friend. It goes without saying that our thoughts are with the two of you. Don't be discouraged if it takes time to get back to the way you were, you'll get there. Just take it one step at a time. If I knew how to get in touch with you other than the forum I would be calling in a heartbeat. So please keep in mind that we are here for you.

Oh well, I hope you were having a nice ride. My thoughts to you too Donna. PS: I second 1911 about the towing place. Get the bike out of there asap. Like me, it is probably written in small print in your contract that it is your duty to reduce storage costs as much as possible. I just went through that and it was quite a fight to get them to pay for the storage. I manage to do it because the other party was at fault, but I doubt the culvert was insured. -- Eric |
