Re: For those of you that think scooters can't perform...

Imagine what the guy on the bigger bike thought when the little scooter came zingin by!!! I wonder how many times he had to practice that dismount at the end!! Also, I would think it would be kinda dangerous to stick you leg out like that, one time it even looked like it caught ground and kinda made his leg kick back a bit!

He was defanitly flying though!!!

His technique looks like a crazy combination of street “n” dirt… but entertaining all the same.

Hey Kim! Was that Lee???

I've seen it before and still had to watch all the way thru.
Glad he's not delivering eggs!

Kim...
Puting the leg out like that is common on dirt tracking as well as SuperMoto.
Helps balance the bike as well as offering a possible "corrective" action if the front or rear start sliding out too much.
But doing it with tennis shoes... now that's kinda crazy.

Re: For those of you that think scooters can't perform...

...cool piece of video Definitely fast riding for that little squirt of a scooter. The tiny little thing could really get around when splitting lanes too!

That's sort of a motard style of cornering, leg out, upper body straight and not leaning into the turn...it appears that's the edge of the envelope for that scooter, did you notice how unstable the bike was on hard turns when the sparks were flying? The wheelbase is too short for anything more aggressive...the wobble could turn to high/low side real easy...he could corner faster if he was hanging off and not leaning the scoot so far.
