Speedway Races Photography !!
John mentioned organizing a ride up to the Speedway Races in Auburn, CA (outside Sacramento).

Reason for the Safety Glasses is I got pelted with dirt in response to taking this shot as the bike blew by!

Nice to see the stands full of spectators. That's what I loved about living in Northern California...there was always something interesting to go see. Especially racing of all types! There was/is a smaller speedway track in Napa, Ca. It was right down the street from where I lived but I never did go!
 Well, we did ride down there on our mountain bikes and tried to peer over the fence once but, we were shooed away  I also got to see the road race (Schwantz vs Rainey) & motocross (they held it in Hollister one year. I think Broc Glover won) 500cc USGPs. |
