Forest Road 1 is the absolute best road I've ever been on. What fun! Can't wait until later in the summer when it's open all the way.
No closeups of the goat-trail-chomping Vulcan? I'm crushed! lol  Goat Trails!   Thanks for the tour Tim, was a blast.

I tried to go on this tour but work got in the way. Looks like a good time with great roads. You are right Forest Road 1 is a blast. You do have to look for trucks latter in the Summer but they have radios and keep track of where you are. Besides the trucks I have never seen another vehicle from 39 to 299. Did yo guys hit FS 1 from 3 out of Hayfork or from 36?

Tim. as I said before "thanks I needed this", I did, and it was a blast. I will probably see you in the September tour. I want to complete the Goat trail that was closed. I tell you, it was a great break from commuting every day. I was BORN AGAIN brother! Praise the Lord, and fill the gas tank!
Wish I could come on Saturday but, you all have fun. Hey Mike lets hook up with Justin and find some Goat trails around the Bay. Later fellow Brothers of the "Church of Curve". |

Many thanks to Tim and Tim for a great ride! And what a great bunch of guys we had, too! After our split, Donny and I hit Stewart's Point - Skaggs Springs Road over the hill. What a ride! Then we headed over Hwy 128 through the vineyards towards Calistoga, up 29 (trafficky!) to Middleton and up Hwy 175 to lodge in Cobb. Next day we went Butts Cyn - Pope Valley - Howell Mtn Rd to St. Helena and Spring Mtn Rd to Santa Rosa. Sweeeet! Point Reyes-Petaluma Rd to Nicasio Reservoir, then down PCH to Mill Valley - great stuff! Donny headed home with he truck and trailer while I road Hwy 1 all the way down to San Luis Obispo before heading inland across Hwy 58 and down Hwy 33. Truly an experience!
