Re: 700 Miles on a Kawasaki Ninja 250 - A motorcyclist's review
Hi Caleb, I have been looking into pure esthetical changes for the time being:
- Rear Fender Eliminator - Turn Signal Integration into the Tail Pod - Flush Mounted Front Turn Signals - Grips - Pegs - Windscreen (maybe) If you go to Ninja 250 Rider's Club they list many performance and esthetical changes. Hope you you decide on the baby ninja...good luck! |

You are going about it the right way. I hope you will have many miles of smiles and adventure. Good luck with the course and keep us posted. We even have some on-site instructors here @ Pashnit. ... Now we need to concentrate on getting Caleb hooked up with some gear judging by his squidley avatar.

Re: 700 Miles on a Kawasaki Ninja 250 - A motorcyclist's review
Ya that fender eliminator is a must do. I was wondering about some of the stock stuff like tires, brake pads that type of thing. Do they last or should i just plan on buying new better aftermarket parts. I am actually still a long way from buying the baby ninja (15 yrs old) but I like to look everything over before i buy something. I am an american citizen but living a missionary kid life in Indonesia. I was looking at a bike to get after i graduate and for something to use in the military. Thats alot scott

About the gear thing. Unfortunately that isn't me. I don't have any bikes big enough to pull that stuff. I am going to get gear though don't worry, and wont probably be doing that type of thing no a little ninja (it can, but i wont)

Re: 700 Miles on a Kawasaki Ninja 250 - A motorcyclist's review
Hello from a fellow 250 Ninja rider. I joined a while back because of this post and because of the great ride write-ups and pics on this site. After a long layoff, I finally pulled my 1992 250 ninja out of storage last year, replaced the engine & carbs, repaired and sealed the tank, painted & polished it up then rode her around the twisting backroads of San Diego all summer.
I sometimes rode with a group of 600s & liter bikes and was the only 250. As other 250 Ninja riders can tell you, the bike does a fine job of holding its own while being tons of fun. It's a great bike -you just have to know how to ride. Since then the Ninja has become my daily commuter to and from work and is more than adequate sprinting around town on the freeways. I'm looking forward to riding more as the weather continues to warm up and hopefully I can also contribute to the nice ride stories and pics for you all in the near future. Mods I've done: Added lights into empty brakelight pods Cut rear fender Newly added flushmount front turn signals |

Re: 700 Miles on a Kawasaki Ninja 250 - A motorcyclist's review
Hey guys, I hope this isn't too far off topic:
I am interested in getting a Ninja 250. I priced them out here in Canada, and the suggested retail price is $6300 CDN. From the Kawasaki website, the recommended retail price in the 'states is around $3000 US. Even with the exchange rate, they are a heck of a lot cheaper states side. Has anyone here imported (or exported?) a bike to Canada? I really considering taking a bike driving course and getting my bike licence, and coming down to the states to pick one up. |
